Overturn

Terms of Service

Effective July 8, 2026

By using Overturn you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

What Overturn is

Overturn is an educational document-preparation tool. It analyzes the health-insurance denial letter you provide and generates a draft appeal letter grounded in publicly available regulations, statutes, and independent-medical-review outcome data. The draft is yours to review, edit, and send — or not send — as you choose.

Not legal or medical advice

Overturn does not provide legal or medical advice. We are not a law firm, we are not attorneys, and no attorney-client relationship is created by using the service. The letters and analysis are informational document templates. For advice about your specific situation, consult a licensed attorney, your state's consumer assistance program, or your health-care provider.

You own the decision to send

You are responsible for reviewing the generated letter — including every citation, date, and factual claim — before using it. AI-generated content can contain errors. Where our automated review flags issues it cannot verify, we show them to you; read them. Deadlines matter in insurance appeals: verify your appeal deadline against your denial letter and plan documents, not against anything the tool infers.

No guarantee of outcome

Appeal outcomes depend on your plan, your facts, and your reviewer. Historical overturn rates shown in the analysis are aggregate statistics, not predictions about your case. We make no promise that any appeal will succeed.

Acceptable use

Submit only denial letters that are yours or that you are authorized to act on. Do not use the service to harass, defraud, or misrepresent; do not attempt to probe, overload, scrape, or disrupt it; do not use it to build a competing dataset.

Price

Overturn is currently free to use. We may introduce paid features in the future; anything already generated for you stays yours.

Privacy

How we handle your information is described in the Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Overturn and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from reliance on generated content, missed deadlines, or appeal outcomes. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of $100 or the amount you paid us in the past 12 months.

Changes and termination

We may modify or discontinue the service or these terms at any time. Changes take effect when posted here, with the effective date updated. We may suspend access for use that violates these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
